一點點的改動, 花了一整個下午

這個週末除了静靜地在房間養病外, 就是在網上四處蠕蠕動。另外, 想把Blog裏的post分類, 但Blogger又沒有分類工能, 唯有用比較愚笨的方法把Post左link右link地分類了(汗)。
另外, 把 list bullet 轉了我非常喜愛的Bioharzrad標誌, 又把Stickham player放了上blog, 再把一些比較罕有的歌放了上去。

現在的Stickham Player放了以下三首小暮閣下唱的歌:

真是BMG的騙錢大行動...BMG把這張小教典和最終的復活黑彌撒紀綠CD連着一起出售, 事實上, 我想要的只是那張"20周年記念小教典集"而已。對於信者來說, 其實最想收藏的是活動絵巻教典DVD吧? 但是有6首新曲的小教典集又不可以不買, Orz.... (Read more!)

大感動! AOL万歲!!

終於可以上網了! 三個星期不到就駁好了…AOL真好!
以前用 ntl, 花了一個月多才接駁好, 免費的modem 遲了送來, £17.99月費 512K, 而且每月只有5G Usage; 現在月費一樣, 但首六個月£14.99, 1Mbps之餘 unlimited usage。 真是太幸福了 (!?)
搬了新家後, 房間到現在仍然是亂得很。 太多束西要辦了, 而且, 房間其實不大, 實在容納不了我這積聚了將近十年的東西 (汗)。 另外還要裝飾一下房間 – 我是一個習慣把照片和海布貼得一牆壁都是的人。這個習慣自大學一年級後更加改不了: 誰叫我大一宿舍的房間的牆上佈滿灰色的手掌印! 好像恐怖片哪…..可以說, 那年是被迫把海報密集式地貼滿房間的。

這個是大學畢業後, 剛搬到倫敦Stratford時的房間, 最初一個月的桌面:

Moving flat, again and again....

Yes I've moved again! Have been moving a lot since living in London but I don't care as soon as the rent of the flat is cheap and affordable. Last September I migrated from Stratford to Marble Arch, and this time I am once again shifting further towards the West to Hammersmith/ Shepherd's Bush.

Since the internet in my new place has yet to be connected, this blog would not be updated as frequent as it used to be. This shouldn't take long as, lucky me, I've just received my free adsl modem from Aol yesterday....but hang on I haven't receive my password yet! Anyway, they said it usually take 14 working days to activate the connection and today's only the 7th day. I have internet access in the lab so I can always post something if I am bored.

Samples' incubation is about to finish. Gotta go. (Read more!)

老鼠愛山米 ~Just leave me alone!~

Dear mouse,

Can't you just wait for another week? I've only got a few more days till I move to another flat?
Can't you go to somewhere which are is large and wide and spacy, instead of my tiny messy little room with so many clothes and craps all over the floor?

Okay okay even though I've admitted before - I am not scared of mouse and I think that crockcoch, lizard and spider are generally more scary than mouse - now I would like to take back my words. I won't go manic when I see s mouse on the street, but seeing a mouse in your own room is s completely different situation, especially when it was 3am in the morning.

The mouse was a tiny one (hence it was a "mouse", if it was a rat I might have blew my dorm up already), black in colour and ran like a rocket. It was difficult to drag myself out of my room since my leg has turned to a piece of jelly within seconds. Got out of the room, woke the bear up, now what?

What a night...! Bear and Rice together (With Bear doing most of the work as Rice has not yet recovered from the shock and was constantly in a histeric state for the whole night. By the way, Bear is no stranger to mouse-phobia, what an "unfortunate" victim in this chaos) is this Managed to resecue my clothes living on the floor of my room with a stick, opened and set up some mouse toxic, sprayed plenty of insectides in my room (you got to try everything at the time but I really don't think it would work), closed the door and incubated....Didn't gain much sleep at all that night and I ended up sleeping in the common room for a whole bloody week.

We bought a few glue trap the dat after, using peanut butter as a decoy but no luck at all. Indeed we haven't seen it again (That's probably because I haven't enter my room for an entire week). I've developed a phobia of entering my own dorm and that is very very sad. Bloody little mouse, how on earth did you enter my room? You really like my room that much? It's okay I'll let you have it if you can just wait for another week - and don't let me see you again while I pack... (Read more!)

Tesco and my old days

Went to buy myself some treats in the Sainsbury on Tottingham Court Road today.
Came out from the supermarket holding bags of food, I walk towards the underground station as usual but soon I notice something is missing opposite the road.
Where the Hell is the Tesco express??? It was still there when I visited Tottingham Court Road no long ago!!
To be honest, since I left university I haven't been to that Tesco at all, but I like that Tesco. It's the only supermarket which opens till late night - I mean REALLY late like 2am. So whenever I need to stay up late or even overnight in uni there is always somewhere out there which you can go if you need anything. It is the only shop you can find opening in the middle of the night on Tottingham Court Road!
I know the whole world is always changing so I better stop moaning, but I will definitely miss you Tesco.
By the way, "my old days" is actually less than a year ago.... (Read more!)

上次有提到, “當時最喜歡的樂團是B'z”。想補充的是, 現在的我還是很喜歡B’z。
B’z是中學時代巳經喜歡上的樂團。和喜歡上聖飢魔II一樣，初時是因為主音稻葉浩志的歌聲而喜歡上的。 記得當時很興奮, 因為終於找到了真正喜歡的樂團, 開始喜歡上搖滾樂也是從B’z開始的, 這要感謝松本孝弘老大的結他演奏以及他為B’z作的曲。
想要懺悔的是, 誓要比較的話, (小聲地)我是喜歡聖飢魔II多一點點啦…
(作為比較的標準是: 聖飢魔II的歌我沒有一首是不喜歡的, 不過, 雖然不多, 但是B’z的歌中我有不喜歡的；另外, 聽聖飢魔II的CD時亦不會“跳”歌來聽, 然而聽B’z的碟是很多時都會。誓要比較其實不太公平, 始終, B’z和聖飢魔II的音樂種類不同，前者是Rock, 後者是Heavy Metal/Heavy Rock。
日本樂團中, 近來亦很喜歡聽Janne Da Arc; 另外亦會聽Charcoal Filter, Field of View, Face to Ace, 還有聲優森久保祥太郎的歌。英國樂團中最喜歡Keane, 雖然主音是肥了點….(-_-“) - 沒有結他的rock樂團還是第一次見 (Emotional Rock); 還有老牌樂團Queen；另外亦很中意唱音樂劇的 Michael Crawford 和 Peter Karrie。美國的會聽Green Day, Bon Jovi 等。
香港的…..只會聽陳奕迅 (羅利他你高興了吧?), 也是因為他的歌聲很好聽。我很不喜歡聽情歌和太pop的歌, 所以廣東歌不太適合我。 (Read more!)

關於聖飢魔II, 之一

對, 又是聖飢魔II。這裡就快變成聖飢魔II專Blog了~(笑)。這篇就當是慶祝小暮閣下前幾天出DVD的貢品吧。

很喜歡聖飢魔II。很多人看過他們的樣子後(尤其是中國人)都會說:
"你怎麼會喜歡這樣的東西..."
"咦....好恐怖!!"
"你喜歡Visual Rock 的嗎..."
有點無奈。

開始喜歡聖飢魔II是大學一年級的事, 當時最喜歡(唯一)的樂團是B'z。
那時因為宿舍的房間可以上網, 於是經常在網上下載一大堆試聽的不知明mp3。一邊聽一邊delete去試聽完不喜歡的，通常到最後在電腦中存活下來的歌只有幾首。就是那時, 第一次無意中聽到了Demon小暮的歌聲, 感覺是, "很喜歡這把歌聲, 如果是這個主音的話, 大概唱甚麼歌也會變得好聽吧..."
不知道那首是什麼歌(file名是亂碼), 又不知道唱的人/樂團是誰, file名唯一看到的字是Seikima-II。然後, 當然往Yahoo Japan的搜索引擎裡找，很快就找到 Seikima-II=聖飢魔II, 又從他們的官方網頁中看到他們的樣子了。當時的反應除了是!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!外, 什麼也不記得了(笑)。很難從中文網上找到聖飢魔II的資料, 日文網頁又看不明, 幸好從台灣網頁萬魔殿中找到詳盡的介紹 (謝謝網主狐姊的努力)。

想為聖飢魔II澄清的主要有以下幾點:

• 聖飢魔II的音樂是重金屬/重搖滾(Heavy metal/ Heavy Rock), 亦不是Visual rock。在日本的唱片店中找他們的的教典(CD), 在Visual rock那一欄中是不會找到的。
• 聖飢魔II的音樂雖然是重金屬, 但並不代表他們的音樂會很吵 (這是很多人對重金屬的誤解)。聖飢魔II的音樂其實很多元化, 儘管他們的抒情歌比例上是較少, 但是全部都很動聽(至小我從未聽過有人批評過他們的抒情歌), 連米媽(本蟲的母親大人)也喜歡到不得了。推薦: "Just Let Me Go", "Still Alive", "Fire Bird"。
• 聖飢魔II的歌(尤其是初期), 的確像很多重金屬樂團一樣, 歌詞裡會觸及死、殺 、惡魔、 世界末日等等東西 (如 "Jack the Ripper", "Deathland"), 但不是全部。到後期勵志的歌曲還有不少，如"Still Alive", "Century of the Raising Arm", "Go Ahead"等(請按連結看萬魔殿的歌詞翻譯。
• 雖然在香港和台灣聖飢魔II的名氣很小(根本上大部分人也不認識他們), 但是在日本他們可是著名到不得了。據我的日本朋友所說, 日本有很多人非常尊敬主音Demon小暮閣下。除了因為小暮閣下是早稻田大學出身以及頭腦非常地好外, 小暮閣下的多才多藝是得到全日本認同的。
• 還有一點, 聖飢魔II才不是普通的人間樂團, 他們是來自地獄的惡魔樂團!!! (笑)

久違了的大白兔

這個....如果寫英文的話大概沒有人看得懂吧。
昨日與舊同學易零君到唐人街逛, 見到了久違了的大白兔奶糖。

中學時期經常從香港買回英國吃, 但是因為經常買到假的大白兔, 升大學後己經放棄再買了.

早前已見到唐人街有奇怪口味的大白兔糖發售, 一直不敢嘗試。根本就未聽過大白兔有其他口味出售, 不過也有能是自己太Outdate啦...再者, 包裝上的大白兔樣子又好像很冒牌。椰奶, 咖啡, 草莓等口味還算正常....不過, 咦, 話梅味!!?? 很另人擔心哪 -_-"

終於勇敢地試了椰奶、咖啡、草莓等較安全的口味。
咖啡味很好吃; 草莓味很像奶昔, 也很不錯； 至於椰奶, 好像較甜, 不過在港的父親應該很喜歡。
可是, 還是原味最好。
話梅味嘛...還未有勇氣試(笑), 一買要買一整包哪。易零同學...你好勇敢!!! 據勇敢的易零同學所說, 話梅味其實很不錯。

這次買的大白兔很好吃 (LUCKy~), 以前試過買假的大白兔, 入口即溶, 又不是在吃MnM, 吃得很不高興。易零同學以前小時侯好像還吃過一些硬得要用刀劈才吃得到的大白兔...(汗) (Read more!)

Since I haven't seen this musical myself (I wish I could) I can only guess that this is the scene when the magician has just transformed the mice residing in Cinderella's home into a human form. But what for - I have no idea....perhaps driving the pumpkin cart?
Anyway, this is not important. What's important is that this is the muscial starring H.E. Demon Kogure as the magician, the King of mice as well as the father of Cinderella. So yes, the very active mouse dancing around in the clip above is indeed Demon Kogure. I am actualluy rather surprised that he did his handstand trick in front of Cinderella (one of the demonic trick which he used to perform in blackmass, named "天地逆轉唱法"). (Read more!)

Showerology

Just realised I've indeed a rather thorough experience of using showers, due to the fact that I rarely stay in the same accomodation for more than a year.

I never get along with water since childhood and before I got stuck in a boarding school I did not like using the type of shower which shoots from right above your head. Thanks for Wymondham college I got over with this quickly because that's all they've got. I adapted it quickly and now I am loving it.

Shower in my boarding school (experience: 6 years)
The shower is actually really good - it's hot and it's sufficently strong, but there are several disadvantages. Firstly, the shower was triggered by one single button, which means that it was impossible to adjust the water temperature, plus, the triggering only lasts for about 10 to 20 seconds and so you need to press the button every now and again to keep the water running.

Absolutely shxx. In my first year, my accomodation has no hot water available after 7pm, the colder the colder. Yes I know my hall of residence is the cheapest among all halls but I still don't think I deserve this. Then, when summer approached, this promblem was fixed....
I moved to another hall of residence during my second year of university, and still, it is the cheapest among all "self-cathering" halls. The shower was slightly better, with hot water most of the time (Yes, most but not all of the time, but I still appreciated it). But, the shower was a bit weak.

I experienced a whole month of cold and icy shower during winter time. Still can't believe I could get through it and I thought I was gonna die! My flatmates and I both reported the fault almost every 3 days but still nobody came to fix it. In the end, I left my landlord a message saying "Please come to fix the shower as soon as possible. We are all ill and not long till dying". A man came over to fix our shower 2 days after this.

To define whether a shower is good or not, in my opinion the most important requirements are hot and strong. My friend Bear and I came across this topic today morning and we've drawn a conclusion that a third requirement ought to be added: accuracy, i.e. the shower must aim the water to you "accurately". The shower in Bear's ex-accomodation was hot and strong. The problem is, the shower aimed the water at all different directions apart from the area where you are supposed to stand. What's more, it is not possible to shift yourself to a place when the water was shot at because that was kinf of like a shower box (where can you go?).

Results and Discussion:

What's special about the loo of Hell?

1. Behind the loo is a splendid demon sculpture
2. On the left hand side of the toilet door you'd be able to find a warning notice asking people with a weak heart to beware (yeah you expect people to spot this notice when one is desperate for a wee?)
3. A while after the door is closed the demon will talk to you, and his voice is NOT soft (and, he speaks in Japanese so I couldn't understand it Q_Q)
4. The demon doesn't speak for long, but when he's finished with you he will SWITCH OFF THE LIGHTS IN THE TOILET!!
5. You'd then see some ghostly creatures being projected on the wall
